The 19th Annual Pennsylvania Herb and Garden Festival will be held on April 7th and 8th, 2017 at the York Expo Center, Memorial Hall, located at 334 Carlisle Avenue in York. The festival is dedicated to educating the public about growing and using herbs and will feature speakers, workshops and over 100 vendors of plants, herbal and garden crafts, and products for the gardener, cook and crafter.

The festival will include a full schedule of speakers who are knowledgeable in herbs and gardening. Lecture topics include, The 2017 Herb of the Year – Cilantro/Coriander. This year’s Festival Featured Speaker, Nadia Sharifi (Owner/Operator MyTrimLine) and Chef Wes Stepp (Owner and Chef of Red Sky Café will include a talk and demonstration “Using Culinary Herbs to Create Great Tasting Nutritious Foods” . Well-known water color artist Bobbi Becker will be sketching throughout the festival and will have many of her works of art for sale. Vendors will include Artisans from Potters, Artists, Culinary Experts, Plant Growers with Innovative Techniques for Gardening, Handmade Natural Beauty Products using Herbal ingredients, Native Plant Experts and Water Garden Display.

Neither advanced registration nor a fee is required for the lectures scheduled throughout the festival.

In addition to the lectures, a variety of workshops will be offered. Learn how to plant, maintain and harvest herbs while planting an “Herb Container Garden”, “Tea Blending Workshop”, “Create a Tiny Landscape” and “Create an Air Plant Terrarium”. There is a fee for the workshops and advanced registration is required.

Festival hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7th and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8th. Admission is $7, children age 12 and under are free and Parking is Free.
